Dear friends of the mountains,
We would like to stress in particular, that the requirements (condition, technical knowledge and equipment) mentioned in the weeks of the tour are part of the contract between the Alpine School Ortler and the person booking. Before deciding on booking the tour, please check the information carefully as well as self-critical, which is in your personal interest.
Participants, who do not have the requirements, have to expect to be excluded from some (or all) tours. Moreover, the following travel terms, in which rights and duties of both parties are summarised, are valid.
REGISTRATION
For daily tours (group tours) as well as individual guided tours directly at our office a few days before the tour is scheduled. All courses and weeks with reference number via e-mail at least 30 days before the course begins. After your subscription is received you will be sent a confirmation and an invoice of 30% of the total, along with the itinerary and equipment list.
CANCELLATION
If cancellation occurs up to four weeks before the course begins, a 70% penalty is due, from the 15th day 100% of the total costs for guides and expenses are to be paid. In case of cancellation caused by force majeure, the deposit will be fully refunded. In case of cancellation up to2days before the beginning of alpine tour with a daily rate of 400 Euro will be charged for the provision of mountain guides.
CANCELLATION BY THE ORGANIZER
If the minimum number of participants required is not reached, we reserve the right to cancel courses and touring weeks up to 20 days prior to the beginning of the course. In this case the down-payment will be refunded, further claims are excluded.
EQUIPMENT
An equipment list is sent to you upon registration. Following items may be rented :eisaxe, bootcrampons, climbing harnesses, helmets, avalanche transceivers, shovel & probe. Please inform us at time of booking.
PRICES/ SERVICES
Prices along with services included are quoted for each touring week and course.
The price-list can be requested at any time.
INSURANCE/LIABILITY
The Alpine School as well as each of its mountain guides and guests are covered by insurance in accordance with paragraph no.13 of the South-Tyrol mountain-guides law. We recommend you to stipulate a private accident- and travel insurance. The Alpine School declines any liability in case of accidents, losses or any other irregularities.
VARIATION OF PROGRAMME
The Alpine School reserves the right to change or to abbreviate a programme at short notice due to weather- or snow conditions. Long-term expected changes to the programme will be communicated in due time. Cancellations depending on weather and lacking suitability of a participant during multi- day- or weekly tours will not be refunded.
NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS
Due to safety reasons we want to limit the number of participants to our tours.
If enough participants are interested, you can select any tour for the dates you wish.
LODGE PRICES
Tours including overnight stays at lodges and cancelled due to weather-conditions are charged for mountain guides as follows:
- Payerhütte - Düsseldorfer – Hintergrat – u. Taberettahütte: 250 Euro
If a tour has to be interrupted due to insufficient preparation of a participant, the agreed tariff will be applied.
Certificate
Every conqueror of the Ortler and the Königsspitze gets a beautiful certificate.
