Sulden next to the Ortler and the close surroundings are the ideal starting point for the course week. The course offers you the necessary knowledge and skills to do also demanding combined high tours independently. Next to the theoretical training and the practical exercises in the climbing garden and to put the theoretical knowledge into practice we perform ice tours and rock tours on the glacier as well. The training program includes: rope and knot techniques, retreat methods, safety techniques on steep snow and ice, improvement of the vertical spikes technique, climb training on the ice and on the rock, crevasse rescue, tour planning and GPS. For participating in the course, experience in the mountains or the participation in a basic course and a very good condition are essential.
